The Medical University of Łodź has over 890 places in three halls of residence located in different parts of Łodź, that is: Lumumby 5, Strajku Łódzkich Studentów 1981r. 2, Plac Hallera 1E.
The hall of residence number 1 “Medyk” and the hall number 2 “Synapsa” are situated close to each other in the housing estate called “Lumumbowo”. They are located near the teaching facilities of the Medical University – the Clinical and Didactic Center Pomorska 251, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Library. In “Lumumbowo” there are shops, a bank, a canteen, a city bike spot and university sports facilities. Dormitories number 1 and 2 can be reached by tram lines no. 12 and 15. In 2011 there was a general renovation in the hall of residence number 2 “Synapsa”.
The hall of residence number 4 “Hallerowo” is located in the city center, close to the educational facilities such as: the Sports Center, Foreign Language Teaching Center, the teaching units located at Żeligowskiego 7/9 and the Szpital Kliniczny WAM. The dormitory can be reached by tram lines no. 9 and 13 and the bus line 99. The building underwent a major renovation in 2014.
All dormitories have single or double rooms and rental payments starting from 300 PLN per month. In each dormitory there are: a gym, quiet study rooms, a relaxation zone and a laundry room. At the entrance there is 24/7 security and the buildings are monitored. The rooms are standard equipped, with unlimited Internet access.
